COMPANY PROFILE

The company Münzen Modes has been in existence since 1972. The head office of the company is at Reichenbachstraße 17, 80469 Munich. The development of the company was initially characterised by coin trading.

In 1982, the company additionally took over the NUMISMATA coin trade fair, which had been founded in 1970.

Since 1982, we have successfully organised this international trade fair.

It is a major numismatic event, bringing together exhibitors and visitors from all over the world and promoting the passion for collecting. Every year, we record constantly growing interest in attendance at the trade fair.

We are dedicated to the promotion of numismatics and have been devoted to this task for over 40 years, both in the specialist retail of coins and in trade fair organisation.

COMPANY HISTORY

1970 was the year of birth of the now international NUMISMATA and the first trade fair was held as a regional trade fair in an only 400-square-metre side room of the Löwenbräukeller in Munich.

It came into being at the request of coin collectors in Munich and its aim was to promote the passion for collecting in the southern German region. The sole purpose of the Bavarian coin day in Munich was initially to facilitate a trans-regional meeting for a few motivated dealers and passionate collectors in order to create a greater product range and above all better buying and selling opportunities.

However, over the years, NUMISMATA has experienced continuous growth in terms both of exhibition area and of attendance figures.

Moreover, further event venues have been added for NUMISMATA: in Berlin, the trade fair has been held since 1999 and the stamp trade fair has also been organised within its framework since 2009; in Frankfurt, NUMISMATA has delighted friends of numismatics every year since 2004.

With a tradition of over 40 years, the trade fair now records over 300 exhibitors and several thousand professional buyers and visitors. It is an international platform that offers a broad range of numismatic materials with high quality standards and represents an important meeting point for the numismatic world.
